Akshaya Tritiya (अक्षय तृतीया) means 'the never-diminishing third day.' It is the third lunar day of the bright half of Vaisakha month. Tradition holds that anything purchased, started, or gifted on this day multiplies and never fades. Indian retail jewelers report 20–25% of their annual gold volume on this single day.
